My Salon Concerts offers the patron an intimate setting in the privacy of their own home or venue of choice. You will indeed be hearing the lute as it was meant to be heard, in a relatively small space, with a relatively small group of people. Throughout history, the lute was performed mostly in this kind of intimate setting. The Idea of seating 500 people into an auditorium to see a lute performed in concert (with the audience fairly far from the player) is a very modern idea and would seem very strange to a performer of the period.
